ELECTRO SWITCH (Miniature, electrical, rotary, etc.)
From critical applications like life support systems and massive data communications centers to every day necessities like street lighting, people depend on the performance of an electrical switch. When you select a switch or relay from Electroswitch, you’re gaining the benefit of over 50 years of experience. The primary supplier of rugged, high-quality products for electrical utilities, nuclear power plants and the U.S. Navy, Electroswitch has the knowledge to meet the intricacies of any application with quality, reliability and performance. With Electroswitch, there’s... “Never A Doubt”.
When we say we have a full line of products we mean exactly that. Our switches and relays are built in three family groups: Detent, Cam Action, and Snap Action. Within the Detent and Cam Action groups we combine manual and remote or SCADA operated designs with standard components in almost limitless configurations to provide literally millions of different models. The objective is not to see how many different switches we can build, but to allow you to choose without compromise or tradeoff the best switch for your particular applications.
Electroswitch currently offers its line of series 20 Cam switches for control panel applications. switches in the line are available in the standard series 20 switch, the series 20P lighted switch and the series 20M modular plug-in switch. Maintenance and circuit testing can be facilitated via the front end of the panel.
A configurable control switch relay (CSR) provides manual and supervisory control of power circuit breakers. By combining the functions of a control switch and a remote-controlled solenoid, the relay eliminates the need for redundant separate relays when manual utility substations convert to supervisory control. Designed for manual or electric operation, the Series 24 CSR can replace a manual breaker switch and associated wiring. The CSR comes with three basic circuits, multiple-voltage characteristics, and a choice of contact configurations, making it suitable for a variety of utility applications. Contact ratings are 60 A for 1 min, and 30 A continuous up to 600 Vac. The CSR withstands 3.5-KV transients on the control bus.
A shorting contact is also known as "make before break" and describes the action of the contact as you select your switch positions. The switch will momentarily "short" postion 1 and 2 together when you rotate from position 1 over to position 2. A non-shorting contact is also known as "break before make". The connection is momentarily broken when you rotate from position 1 over to position 2
